Institutional Development Plan (IDP)

Below is a comprehensive roadmap for the 2024–2027 triennium.
1. Executive Summary & Vision
The primary goal is to transition the college into a high-performing rural educational hub that blends traditional values with modern employability.
 Vision: To provide quality education to the underprivileged sections of society in line with the philosophy of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule.
 Mission: To foster social transformation through academic rigor, skill development, and community engagement.
2. Academic Excellence & NEP 2020 Integration
To remain competitive, the institution must align its curriculum with multidisciplinary standards.
 Skill-Based Courses: Introduce certificate programs in Digital Marketing, GST Accounting, and Agri-Business Management to enhance local employability.
 Academic Bank of Credits (ABC): Ensure 100% student registration on the ABC portal to facilitate seamless academic mobility.
 Research Culture: Establish a Research Advisory Committee to encourage faculty to publish in UGC-CARE listed journals and apply for minor/major research projects.
 Collaborations: Sign at least 3 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) annually with industries or larger universities for student exchange.
3. Infrastructure & Learning Resources
Modernizing the physical and digital footprint is essential for a contemporary learning environment.
Area
Strategic Goal (2024-2027)
ICT Integration
Convert 20% of classrooms into Smart Classrooms with high-speed Wi-Fi.
Library
Complete automation of the library using ILMS software (like SOUL or KOHA) and expand access to N-LIST/e-resources.
Green Campus
Installation of a 10kW Solar Power Plant and a functional Rainwater Harvesting system.
Sports
Upgrade the gymnasium and develop a dedicated 200m track for athletic training.
4. Student Support and Progression
Focusing on the "Output" (the student) ensures the long-term reputation of the college.
 Competitive Exam Cell: Launch a dedicated "MPSC/UPSC Guidance Center" with a weekend lecture series by guest officers.
 Placement Cell: Organize annual "Job Fairs" inviting local enterprises and regional banks.
 Mental Health: Appoint a part-time counselor to address the psychological needs of rural students.
 Alumni Network: Formalize the Alumni Association to create a corpus fund for scholarships.
5. Governance and Quality Assurance (IQAC)
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) will be the engine of this plan.
1. NAAC Readiness: Prepare for the next cycle of NAAC accreditation by maintaining rigorous documentation and "Data Validation and Verification" (DVV) processes.
2. Feedback System: Implement an online 360-degree feedback system for students, parents, and employers.
3. Faculty Development: Mandate at least one Faculty Development Program (FDP) or Refresher Course per teacher per academic year.
6. Implementation Timeline (Phased Approach)
 Year 1 (2024-25): Focus on NEP 2020 transition, ABC registration, and basic ICT upgrades.
 Year 2 (2025-26): Focus on Industry MoUs, starting new vocational courses, and Green Campus initiatives.
 Year 3 (2026-27): External Academic Audit, NAAC preparation, and large-scale placement drives.
SWOT Analysis Overview
Strengths: Strong commitment to social justice; dedicated faculty. Weaknesses: Rural location constraints; limited industry exposure. Opportunities: Growing demand for vocational skills; government grants for rural colleges. Threats: Competition from urban private institutions; digital divide among students.
